Pocket Scavenger

So I was going to do this book after I did wreck this journal but I couldn't resist and have started. So the idea behind this book is to go out and collect the things listed in the book, after you find an item you write down a few things about it then turn the book upside down and flip to a random page where it will tell you an alteration to do. This is so much fun to do here is what I have so far...
I found these tickets when I was out walking and my challenge was to turn them into monsters

This is my something sticky and my challenge was to cut it into strips

My six blue things my challenge was ask a friend what I should do, I asked my husband and he said drip wax on the page.

A part of a book I used the picture on the cover of a book I found well walking. I was to do something strange so I added google eyes and a bow and she's saying "oh my god I love love love your earrings, where did you get them and do they come in red?" I hope that's strange enough ha ha.

This was a rubber band and I got add your own alteration so I used the rubber band as the outline of a penguin head and then drew a penguin body on it.
Well that is my pocket scavenger book so far, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Wreck this Journal, My First Few Pages

I've finished some pages in my "Wreck This Journal" it's been lots of fun so far. So the first page I did is the stand here page...
It's been raining a lot here the past couple days so I ran around the yard like a mental patient and then walked around on the pages.

Next I got paint on my feet and stood on the pages

Then I turned the toes into little piggy's and wrote the this little piggy's rhyme.
I was supposed to leave this one blank but it was the perfect place for my skeleton stamp.
For this page a drew a puffer fish and colored it in with water color pencils
Here it is after the shower I was surprised my colors didn't run a lot more

I put this page in my jeans pocket and put it through the wash

then taped it back in the book
For this page I zentangled a bunch of post it notes and then taped them down with packaging tape so they won't flop around

I love these heart post it's

So there it is that is what I have so far, Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Yellow Things

I decided to go on a bit of a photo scavenger hunt and see how many yellow pictures I could take. It was actually quite fun there is a lot of yellow out there when you really look for it..

I'm going to pick a few favorites for my 2014 photo album, it would be fun to have pages of all one color I think. I'd like to do other colors as well this was a lot of fun I like anything that makes you really study your surroundings it's amazing what you notice when your looking.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hey it's Been a While

Wow it's been ages since I posted anything I guess I just got a little overwhelmed with it for awhile and it was starting to feel way to much like work. Anyway I just went on a wonderful 3 week trip to  La Ventana Mexico and I thought I would share some of my photos for anyone who is interested...
These are mango flowers

A beach where we went snorkeling
An iguana living in a cordon cactus in front of the house we were staying at, I named this one Skittles.

Adam's Tree

Mexican Creeper

Wild Petunia

There where so many nests

Skittles the Iguana

Lucy with a desert treasure

Mexican Palo Verde

Balandra Beach

This bug was HUGE I'd say 2 inches long

Baja Nightshade

a very fat little sparrow

Oscar sunning himself

This nest was in a hole in the wall of an abandoned house

A great frigatebird

A little sierra

Those are some of my favorite pictures I just loves the Iguanas they lived in front of the house where we where staying in a big cardon cactus. I defiantly think if we get to go again I'll have to invest in an underwater camera so I can take pictures of all the lovely fish we see snorkeling.
